Zwei verschiedene Bemalungen, aber ein Modell : Als Christian Lell dieses Modell erwarb, war es in obiger Bemalung von Sterling Airlways lackiert. Leider nur mit Wasserfarbe, welche sehr gelitten hatte und deshalb entfernt werden mußte. Zum Vorschein kamm dann die auch von Verkuyl bekannte Demo-Bemalung. Besonderheit an diesem Modell ist, daß es ganz aus Blech gefertigt ist. Bei Schaarschmidt Modellen sind normalerweise die Tragflächen und Leitwerke aus Blech.
Sterling Airways war die erste Fluggesellschaft, welche Oprtionen für die VFW 614 unterschrieben hat. Dies war 1968 und man plante 5 Maschinen zu bestellen.

Two different paintings, but one model : When Christian Lell purchased this model, it was painted in the Sterling livery. Unfortunately only with watercolors, that were in a very sad condition. After cleaning the model and removing the Sterling livery, the blue and white "Demo-Colors" appeared.
This model is completely made of metall sheets. Schaarschmidt models are usually made of cast metall and the wings are of metal sheets.
Sterling Airways was the first airline to sign an option for the VFW 614. In 1968 they planned to buy and use 5 airplanes.
